Most users will probably wish to configure the setup for Roon or JRiver, where your experience will be reflected by the quality of either one of those systems.
The Eos Stream is a genuine hifi quality streamer, so good system husbandry and attention to setup should be applied. And it terms of audio performance, the Eos Stream delivers music with a wide dynamic range, great bandwidth and refined transparency, so the downstream system should be open and revealing with plenty of performance headroom.
